Who are we?
Pepperrell.net is a small, independent, non-commercial and privately run family history site.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
The primary objective in genealogy is to identify all ancestors and descendants in a particular family tree and to collect personal data on them. In order to support research by other genealogists, this data is often published on internet genealogy websites. This website will always suppress the personal data of Living individuals from viewing by the general public to insure the privacy of those individuals. Personal data includes, but is not limited to, birth/marriage dates/locations, photographs, notes, and biographies. Full names and details are displayed only if there is a date of death or if the individual has given their permission for the data to be displayed.
Original data given to me in trust (personal information, e-mail/street addresses, phone numbers, etc.) is not provided to others unless approval is first obtained. You should be aware, however, that most of this information is public domain and may be readily available to others using internet search engines.
Photographs published on this site are part of personal family collections or have been contributed by generous colleagues (collectively ‘the owners’). The owners retain all rights associated with their photos. Consequently, these photos may not be copied, distributed, re-distributed, incorporated in whole or in part in other works, nor aggregated with other works without the permission of the owners.
Photographs of living individuals are considered personal data and are normally suppressed unless prior permission has been obtained from the individual. If you feel that any image is not correctly covered please contact us and we will correct the mistake by citing the correct copyright or by removing the offending image from our site.
